I've been battling it my whole life, I feel like, but I've finally been able to develop better habits and enjoy exercise a little more, at least. My husband lost over 100 lbs ten years ago and has kept almost all of it off, so I always look to him for inspiration. I realized that I need a very structured plan of eating so this one is working for me. That's quite a loss for ...Kudos to you, Carol!! That's quite a loss for such a small time frame. Last year, I managed to drop about 12 pounds in 4 1/2 months, but this year, despite my daily one hour swim, I didn't even loose an ounce! I chalk it up to 'the change', and a slower metabolism, etc...which just means I need to try harder re: diet and exercise! It is definitely challenging, if not, discouraging at times, but like most things, one needs time to adapt. I do the same thing and watch tv while I'm on it, or sometimes listen to music. Even if I'm listening to music, I still usually have the tv on. I walk 'across the street' to my gym at 7am too for my Spinning classes with an instructor and all...needless to say it gives me energy for the day and takes my worries away.
