Today I'm sharing my kitchen in all its "funness" -- yes, I just made up that word, but it fits!  This is the best kitchen I've ever had in any home we've ever lived in, and I will be sad to leave it.  But for now, it's all decked out and ready to be shared and enjoyed.

This is the view from the entry hall into the kitchen.  I have a floating island (meaning it isn't permanently fastened down), so I often have it on an angle.  I always has a vessel (of some kind) of fruit.  This time of year, I love this red china basket.  It's actually good through Valentine's Day.  I made the tablerunner last year out of some Christmas fabric scraps.

 I started collecting these glass containers months ago.  Michael's had a pretty good selection, and I always made my purchases when I had a 40-50% off coupon.  The balls are all from the $Store & a few from Walmart.  Decided to add the snow at the last & I love it.  I've really gotten into the loose snow this year.

I've shown these photo cubes before, but they are my favorites, so you get to see them again.  I made sets for both of our children & their families & for us (of course) last year.  I usually leave them up through Valentine's Day.  If you click on the photo, then original size, you can get a better look at these.

I've had this cute Santa cookie jar for 30+ years (Lillian Vernon), and I look forward to bringing him out each year.  The Debbie Mumm plate was a gift from a sweet friend.  The Man found the little red teapot for me several years ago.

This garden window is so much fun to decorate, & each year is different.  This is my first snow scene for here.  Everything, except the mirrored tree (from Target) & Poinsettia, are all odds and ends of things I've collected over the years.  Lots of layers going on here.  The stained glass pieces, which you can barely see, are from many years ago when I tried my hand at that particular art form.  The church is one of my collection of California Missions.  The small village pieces & a few other things had been my MIL's & are very special to me.  The lamp is from Pier 1, & the candle is a "Yankee" -- Cranberry Chutney, yummy.

Okay, now get ready for just a whole bunch of random shots around the kitchen.  I added the wreaths on the cabinet doors for the first time this year.  The little sock hanging inside the one was a money-holder given to The Man when he was 3 or 4 years old.  I've always found a special place to display it.

 Sorry some of these pics are kind of dark.  I was having trouble getting the lighting right, but wanted to shoot the photos at night -- you know, for the ambiance.

Just enough room on top of the fridge for a few things.
