My Spring'tacular Mantel

Hey everyone!  Today we are continuing this super-fun party with Shannon at Fox Hollow Cottage.  Shannon is hosting "The Mantel Party!"  Go, look around, join in the fun!

I'm also linking up with Emily at 52 Mantels forYour Mantels.  This is an ongoing party & great place to get some great ideas.

My mantel is rather subdued compared to some I've been seeing, but I'm trying to keep things a bit more simple since Christmas.....lol!  So here goes.  Hope you enjoy.

Our fireplace is in our family room with a built-in entertainment center just to the left.  Abby had to get in the picture.  She has a little pad & loves being by the fireplace even when it's not lit.

This is what I see every night as we watch TV.

Nothing new was purchased.  I've had this clock & the matching candle holders for over a year now.
Got a super deal on them at Tuesday Morning.  I used some of my stamping supplies & darkened
them just a bit.

I like using the battery-operated candles in places like this.  These actually work on a remote.
It seems to be the only remote in our home that fits my hand......lol!

Have had this nest for a long time.

I think I got it at Michael's one year.

As I was looking at the mantel last night, my eyes were continually drawn to the bare space between the mantel & the tile.  I couldn't stop staring at it.  Does that happen to ya'll?  Anyway, I decided it needed something, so I got crafty and........

Made one of the burlap banners that I keep seeing all over blogland.

The jury is still out on this.  Can't make up my mind if I like it.  What do ya think?

Hope everyone is having a super week and having fun at these parties.  Thanks for stopping by
and please come again soon!
