It's Time for a Bit of a Break!

Hey, everyone!  At the end of my last post, I mentioned I would be taking a bloggy vacation but thought I'd better make more of an announcement than that.  I don't want any of you to think I've just abandoned ship or anything....lol!  Nothing serious is wrong, we just have some "biggie" things starting to happen around here that I really need to devote my full time and attention to for awhile.  I'm going to try to make a few visits this morning, but then I will be going "Cold Turkey" on blogging -- don't laugh, because I know most of you are as "addicted" to blogging as I am!  So anyway, I'm off to make a few quick visits (I just need a little "fix") & then going silent.  I'll share everything (well, almost) when I return.

Before I go, I'd just like to leave you with a few pics of our darling, oldest granddaughter (older by a minute or so than her twin sis).  Taylor, age 12,  has developed a passion for gymnastics over the last few year.  A month ago, during her "free gym" time, she started using the trampoline.  The coach was watching her & invited her to join the Trampoline Team.  Did you know that "Trampoline" is now an official Olympic event?  These pics were taken at a Meet about two weeks after she joined the team.  I apologize, most of the pics are a bit fuzzy, because I haven't mastered the art of taking action photos...!

She is so poised!

I know she was nervous, but she totally concealed it.

She is very slender, so she has to really work at getting height.

Seriously, ouch!

This entire Meet was set up like a "Mini Olympics," including the "medals" awards.  Taylor won two 2nd place medals & tied for 5th.  This was just the best pic, because she finally saw me in the crowd & gave me one of her sweet smiles!  Sniff, sniff.....Taylor has been in 2 more Meets since this one & just found out this week, that she is going to the Jr. National Olympics in Long Beach in July!  We are so excited and proud of her.
As always, thank you so much for stopping by.  Please don't forget me while I'm away -- heehee!  Have a great weekend y'all!
CAS

  10. Hi again Cas,
    That is wonderful about Taylor,
know you are all very proud of her,
she looks like a gymnist. I have a friend who's daughter is a gymnist as well. and she is very good too.
That takes a lot of practice and concentration, so my hat is off to them, and so nice that they enjoy it so much. congrats to her!

and hope you enjoy you break, have some fun and you will be missed,
but will look forward to your return,
    Love and Blessings, Nellie

  15. I took a break, too.
Glad that my "Beach Girl with Big Hat" painting reminded you of your granddaughter, Flynn. That incident must have been such a riot!
