Presto Chango!

Hey everyone!  Whew, I think I've made it back to the land of the living after my bout with food poisoning.  I hope never to have that ever again.  Anyway, before I delve into today's post, I just wanted to give a "Thank You" shoot-out to Richella @ Imparting Grace for featuring our little front porch bench, see it HERE, on her Grace at Home Party.  If you don't know Richella, you should make it a point to go over and say "Hi."  She is such a genuinely nice person -- very down-to-earth and authentic.  Thanks again, Richella!

Now for today's post -- a very "budget-friendly" craft project.  I love it when I can create something fun and cute, and never leave the comfort of my craft room to purchase anything.  Last Spring I made this wreath for my pantry door.

I really liked it, used it for quite awhile, and then hung it in my craft closet to rest for awhile.  Y'all know I've been seriously crushing over turquoise (who isn't, right?) and have been adding it here, there and everywhere around our home, especially in the kitchen & breakfast room.  Well, I decided to rework the old wreath and came up with this cheerfulness to hang on the pantry door.

Cute, right?  I mean, seriously, it has turquoise!

I used some of the same fabrics (all from scraps I had on hand) that I had used on my rooster and hen dishtowels when I added the ruffles.

For someone who was a professional seamstress for many years and couldn't tolerate an unfinished fabric edge or an errant thread, I'm getting the hang of the beauty of "raw" -- as in raw and raveling edges!

More fun, less perfection!

I'd say that adds a pop of "Happy" here in the kitchen!
