I'm Getting There!

Hey everyone!  Wow, it's been awhile since I posted, and you know what that means, right?  Yes, I've been up to my eyebrows in tinsel & glitter!  Since I'm not hosting Thanksgiving, I thought I'd go ahead and get a head-start on Christmas.  My goal is to be finished by Tuesday, but I have a ways to go.  Anyway, I thought I'd share just a little of what I have gotten finished.  I almost always start in the kitchen since that seems to be where I spend most of my time.  I'm not showing everything yet, because I still have some tweaking to do.  Do you have something to drink?  Good, then let's get started!

I really like to get all of the areas above the cabinets finished first -- really don't like being on the tall ladder!

I typically do a rough layout just on the kitchen counters in the general area of where they will go up top.  I still have to pitter-patter up and down that ladder way too many times!

Remember the grapevine cones that I had all decorated for Fall up here in this location HERE?  Well, they are making an encore performance.  I simply replaced the orange lights with white ones and wrapped the cones with tinsel from the Dollar Store.

I just keep finding fun ways to decorate this old window, but this may just be my fave!

Of course, I had to set up a seasonal beverage station!

Coffee, tea, hot chocolate?

Yum -- cinnamon sticks, BIG fluffy marshmallows and ........

Candy Canes!

Cups are all ready.

Little Fiesta pieces make me happy!

Happiness!

This tree has all things "fun!"

Aren't these just the cutest?

Yoyos, pez dispensers, whisles

Cookie cutters, candy garlands and red & silver polka dot ornies!

I think a cup of hot chocolate is beckoning me.  Want some?

Thanks so much for stopping by.  You are always welcome in my home, but you may find me with tinsels & glitter in my hair!

  10. Nice to see you here, Carol and I really love all your Christmas decorations. That is a lot to do with getting all that stuff up there-especially if you don't like heights. You are way ahead of me. I am hosting Thanksgiving and not doing anything until after the day is over- xo Diana
