Be My Guest!

Hey everyone!  I wish this time of year would slow down and drag a bit like summer does around here, but it just seems to be whizzing by way too fast!  At least we are having cool weather!  Today I thought I would share a bit of my craft room, the guest room and bath, and some of this wing of our home.
This is the first thing you see as you walk down this hallway.  This is so special to The Man & I.  It has photos of us, our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.  I've had these little wreaths forever and thought the colors were perfect to add to this frame with suction cups.

A whimsical wreath in my craft room right above my computer desk.

A couple of cone trees and bits & baubs of Christmas cheer.  This room is pretty darn cheerful anyway, so it doesn't need much!

We aren't expecting any company before Christmas, but the rooms are ready just incase.
Keeping it real -- this is where you will usually find Abby sleeping during the day!

I love playing up the red in this room, so I hung our old red velvet stockings in here.

This quilted piece was hung between the beds last year, but the painted china plates took that spot.  This year it is hanging on the closet door.

I adore this little tree.  It is decorated with lots of little memories -- sweet little decorations that have been around for many years.  I added in turquoise mesh this year.

The mission is here all the time.

The guest bath is quite bright and cheerful all the time, but I couldn't resist adding a bit of
Christmas to this much-used room.

My little cone trees never fail to make me smile.

Even the tissue box cover got some bling with sparkly silver ribbon.

The sparkly snowflake is something I picked up at the 99 cent store & used a small suction
cup to attach it to the outside of this framed art.

No candles, just silver balls in this wall sconce.

I've been really enjoying this little area of the hallway.  It's kind of an open-mini-mudroom.  We don't   often have mud around here, but it's a great place for hats & jackets.  And since it is right across the hall from The Mancave, I have added some of his old family photos, plus some seasonal decor, too.

This really sums it up, doesn't it?

Thanks so much for taking a peek at this part of our home.  This may or may not be the last post I do before Christmas.  I do have a few more things to share, but time is getting SHORT!  I'll just have to play it by ear.  Betty Crocker is coming by today, and that "woman" keeps me so busy when she
shows up!  She hardly gives me time to do any sampling or have a cup of cocoa -- she's a task-master!  Would you like me to send her to your home when she finishes here?  She just loves it when I find her more work......heehee!

Take care and have a happy and joyous weekend!
