A Little Christmas Something from Nothing!

Hey everyone!  Every year it seems that this last week before Christmas flies by a little quicker, doesn't it?  I'm spending a lot of time getting all ready for our "Family Christmas Eve" celebration here in our home.  Lots of last-minute grocery shopping and tweaking of menus seems to be occupying my days, but I'm loving it!  I haven't felt the need to do too much tweaking to my decor, except for our breakfast table.  I've tried a couple of different centerpieces, but they just weren't what I wanted, so I went to my box of "leftovers!"  Do ya'll have one of those -- all those odds & ends of bits & baubles & just "stuff?"

Well, I basically went "junking" in my "leftovers box" and then in my decor closet & came away
with these items but not a clear plan -- I usually see "pictures" in my head of what I want
to do, but I must have forgotten to put the memory card back in, because I had nothing!

I heated up the glue gun just in case it was needed & just stared at my collection of stuff.

Wait!  An idea is starting to form.  Will this old GW plate fit inside this empty frame?

Perfect-a-mundo!  Didn't even need a drop of glue.

I glued one of my battery-operated candles to a $Store glass candle stick for height, and
placed the candles in the center of the frame.

Then I just started filling in with some leftover pics, the one lone, gold-glittered dove,
and tied the single bell around one of the candles.

Just incase the little plate & the frame came apart (remember, I didn't use any glue), I
decided to set the whole thing on a pretty red charger.

Here is how it turned out.  It's the perfect size & height for our breakfast table.

This turned out to be a really sweet and cheerful little vignette for The Man & I to enjoy
as we have all of our meals here at this table.

You see, you can create something from nothing!

Hope you enjoyed my little DIY project, and thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you
have a wonderful weekend!
