Just a Peek!

Bootleggers Modern American Smokehouse: Pulled Pork Sandwich
Hey everyone!  Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend.  It was a glorious weekend here with beautiful weather in the 80's and fun-activities with our family.  Friday night, we met up with our son, dil,  Little Miss & Littlest Miss to try out a restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale called Bootleggers Modern American Smokehouse.  I had their Pulled Pork Sandwich which was delicious.  The service
was great, and the company was even better!

iPhones & iPads make for great entertainment for little ones waiting "patiently" for food!

Also got to see these beauties on Saturday night at a gymnastic meet -- this is an older photo, because these meets are too chaotic to take pics at.  There are always three events going on at the same time, so I am better off just watching rather than trying to take pictures.  Taylor (on the right) is our gymnast & got two 2nd place medals and one 3rd.  Riley (on left) was busy working as a "score keeper's assistant."

I mentioned last week that we are working on a DIY project, but it is not finished yet.  It is our master closet, which is huge but was being very much under-utilized;  so The Man has been working his "magic!"  Thought I'd give you just a sneaky peek, because it is going to be so pretty!

There is quite a bit more to The Man's plan, and it's all custom which takes time.  Cannot wait to share the finished redo!

Abby has been busy in my craft room this week, too!  She has to make sure this spot is reserved -- you know, like no other kitties are allowed......lol!

Hope y'all have a great week!  I'm sending sunny, warm thoughts from AZ to all of you who are still having chilly weather.  Thanks for stopping by!

Spring is Popping in My Kitchen!

Hey everyone!  Wow, is this month flying by or what!  I truly hope that means better weather for all those who have been deluged with cold, rain and snow.  Y'all don't even want to know about our 80 degree weather, but I know I"ll be getting my "whine" on about the heat in just a short amount of time.   I almost didn't post this week, because we are working on a fairly big project around here; but I really wanted to share some Spring & Easter vignettes that I'm enjoying in my kitchen.  So here goes!
The island is the first thing you see when you enter our kitchen, so I really like having something special in the center.  It is a working island, in use for almost every meal and everything in between, so keeping my vignettes contained on a tray is what works best.

Enjoying the Desert Spring!

Hey everyone!  I know that some of you are still experiencing some chilly weather, while others are just starting to see some signs of Spring.  Here in the Arizona desert, Spring is definitely HERE, and we are enjoying every last day of it.  We know what is lurking around the corner, so I thought I'd share some of the backyard beauty we have been relishing.

Yes, I still have a couple of these that are very healthy and enjoying the great outdoors.  Since they are a tropical plant, I may try to find a shadier spot around the patio and plant
them -- nothing to lose, right?

Spring in the Air

Hey everyone!  I know some of you are still experiencing cold, wintery weather; but around here, Spring is definitely abounding.  I've made a few changes in the foyer and sitting-dining room and thought I'd share them with you.  Grab a beverage and let's get started!

Y'all already know how much I love decorating my old Singer turned foyer table.
You can see that transformation HERE.

Updates -- Craft Room -- ACK!

Hey everyone!  Ack!  Say it isn't so!  Can there possibly me more updates to this itty bitty room?  Well, I'm afraid so.  If you are a crafter, sewer, or scrapbooker, then you know there are always, always improvements and tweaks to be made.  Could there possibly be more changes down the road? Absolutely, but this is what is working for me now, and I would love to share.  Come on in, and I'll give you a little tour.  Oh, "cough cough" -- when I say "little tour," I am referencing the size of the room, not number of pictures!

A little reminder of how it looked the last time I shared a tour.
