All is Calm, All is Bright

Hey everyone!  Wow, it has been awhile since I did a blog post!  Did you miss me?  Actually, you really don't need to answer that!  We had very dear friends from Oregon renting a house in our neighborhood for the month of November and were with us for Thanksgiving.  We had such a nice time with them, and blogging just didn't seem very important.  I am happy to be back now with some Christmas decorating around our home.  We aren't having any family celebrations here this year, so I have greatly scaled back my decorating from the norm.  No big tree this year;  I opted for 2 small trees inside and 2 outside.  Today I thought I'd share the foyer and sitting room.

Here in the foyer, as well as the sitting and dining rooms, I used lots of gold and silver
with splashes of red.

I just love reflections, don't you?

Kris Kringle all ready to work his magic.

It's so peaceful and calm in this space during the day and.......

In the evening.

I made this crewel stitchery about thirty-five years ago, and still love displaying it.

Many, many mini-me's....again with the reflections!

Always fun to add my seasonal pillow covers.

Just a little sneak-peek at my dining room -- a post for another day!

I hope you enjoyed this little tour.  I always love to share my home with all of you, and I'm definitely looking forward to sharing more spaces over the next couple of weeks.

  1. Your home looks so pretty all dressed for the Holidays. I love that ruffled skirt! I have a table that I need to cover like that! Glad you had fun with your friends...that takes precedence over blogging. Hope you are feeling a lot better. xo Diana

  4. Carol, your home looks absolutely beautiful all dressed up for Christmas. I love your entryway. The tree is just perfect. My eye went straight to the pillows on your sofa. Gorgeous!

  5. Carol, I love your warm holiday rooms! The two small trees area brilliant idea. We have two big trees, but I think I could really love the look of a small tree in a few rooms instead...maybe someday!
