Spreading Some Valentine Love

I told you I was planning on back-to-back posts, and I kept my word!  This is kind of a first for me to be decorating for Valentine's Day since my kiddos were little.  Well, I usually have something little to represent the day, but I mean very little!  This year I was kind of feeling the "love" more and decided to go with it.

Now you might remember how excited I was to have a little Christmas tree in my craft room for the holidays, and decided I just could not put it away for the entire year....it made me sad to think about!😞 So, for the first time ever, I have made the choice to have a "Seasonal-Holiday Tree" that I can look at every single day and smile! 😁 Of course, the first season to celebrate in 2018 is Valentine's Day, but my tree needed a bit of work after I removed the Christmas attire.  I really did not want this tree to be green ever again, so I spray-painted it with Rustoleum Satin White.  I covered all the lights with blue painter's tape before spraying, but I ended up taking the old lights off and replacing them with a string of white lights.

It took about three coats of paint, including painting an old flower pot to hold the tree more securely.  One of the big bonuses of spray-painting a little faux tree like this, IT NO LONGER SHEDS!  Woohoo!  So, are you ready to see the transformation?  Oh, give it up, I know you are!

This is just so stinkin' cute I can't stand it!

I've had so much fun decorating this little cutie.  The little polka dot balls & red beads are from my Christmas stash, but the rest I either made or bought this year.

Heck, I'm still making little cloth hearts and more crochet hearts, too!

I added a few other "love" touches around my craft room.

The kitchen got some sweetness, too!

I made this wall-hanging several years ago, and decided to hang it on the open door of my living room armoire....just a nice cozy touch.  I am working on a wreath for the front door and my coffee station is pretty much complete, so I'll be sharing those soon.

Well, if you follow me on IG or FB, you've already seen these pics of our little fuzzy love-bug, Abby, and her new bed.

She is still kind of boycotting the new bed, but I think she just hasn't gotten enough of her scent on it
yet, and it still has the strange new smell.  Maybe I should go stand in it with my bare feet for awhile...now that would definitely be a scent she would recognize!

Well, there you have it....more of my choices for 2018!  Please stay well, my friends.

Warm hugs,
Carol
