Now these might not be the gorgeous "Autumnal" colors that many of you experience in the Fall in your neck-of-the-woods, but I'm pretty darn excited about what's going on around here right now. We've lived in AZ for almost thirty years and have never experienced this before. Our home-town area has selected many deciduous trees to combine with the more typical pines & olives. I don't know all the different species, but we do have cotton wood, ash & certain types of oak. Anyway, I've been wanting to capture some of this loveliness to share with ya'll, so The Man & I took a stroll around our neighborhood. I'll try to be mostly quiet and just let you enjoy!
So for those who think AZ is all desert, cacti & palms, think again!
We have "Fall Colors" that come in January!
Thanks for stopping by & please do come again.

Isn't it wonderful. The mulberry tree behind my back fence finally lost all of it's leaves and now I can stop raking! Thanks for sharing. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThat is just amazing! I'm more amazed about your Fall color this late in the year. All of our trees are bare or have dead leaves stuck to them. My subdivision has mostly bermuda grass in the front yards, so everyone's yards are brown now. No wonder so many people like to retire in AZ!
ReplyDeleteI have lived in Chicago my entire life, until our recent move to San Antonio Texas. We had a lovely fall foliage display right before Christmas here. I guess it is really rare too....the drought and super hot summer helped make it possible. Usually they just turn browns and fall off. I felt like God gave me a fall color display because I miss home so much :) Blessings, Paula
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. Love it when the leaves change on the trees. Ours just all finall fell off and DH got them all cleaned up. The new buds are always fun to see too. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWow...you really do have some great color there! We have a maple tree that doesn't lose it's leaves until spring. Very odd.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are getting more done. I know blogging cuts into my time but I just have so much fun! :-)
XO,
Jane
How pretty! I love when the leaves change color.
ReplyDelete(Ok, I'll admit it, I only think of desert when I think of AZ. ;D)
Fall? What's that?? It was close to 80 here today! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe colors all signify that spring is coming soon. I love the pictures Cas
