Yes, that is a Beanie Baby -- do you remember those? The Phoenix Suns would make regular stops by the NICU at Phoenix Children's Hospital to drop off preemie clothing & Beanie Babies. The little Beanies were used to cradle & position the tiny little babies. Our little girls were so incredibly small, but absolutely perfect in every way!
Just a few years later, they were already growing too fast for this Nana. Oh my goodness, they were a couple of busy-bees, let me tell you! What one didn't think of, the other one would.
How did they get this big? Where-o-where did the time go? I do miss those adorable little babies, but these beautiful young ladies will charm your socks off! I think we'll keep them!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY PRECIOUS SWEETIES!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

DeleteYour granddaughters are beautiful. Isn't it crazy how fast the time goes? Just wanted to thank you for the sweet comments after our car got it's boo-boo. We're driving around in a rental right now, but anxious to hear what the insurance company is going to do. Thanks for the follow and for letting me know about the no reply. I think I have it all figured out now. Hope you have a great rest of the week. Try to stay cool.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Nici

ReplyDeleteHi Cas, Your granddaughter are lovely. Isn't it fun being a grandma!
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to hear from you. I was just like you I had passed Pendleton on the freeway many times, but never stopped. This was a fun adventure. I only stay there about an hour and half, but it broke up the trip and simulated the mind. This country of ours has so many little nooks and crannies, and so many lovely people . . . it's just nice to slow down and enjoy what is right under our noses.
Arizona is such a beautiful state. I lived one year in Tuscon when I was a teenager and what I remember most was the unbelievable sunsets. Another memory was the ants. We lived right on the edge of some vacant land and I used to take table scrapes and put them about 6 feet away from your gigantic ant hills. Then I would sit back and watch those little critters work. You could put a ham bone out there and in just a couple hours there was no meat at all left on the bone.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day, Connie :)
Happy Birthday to your princesses! Wishing them a happy and brighter future ahead!
ReplyDeleteLovely girls. Even though there were of course ups and downs, I loved my daughter's teenage years. Much to look forward to!
