Anyway, today I thought I would share our family room all dressed up for Fall! Hope you enjoy!
This shows the "center of attention" area of our family room. This is a nice built-in space, but the entertainment space on the left was intended for one of the antiquated, behemoth TVs. The Man already has a project in the works that will add a cabinet & bring the flat screen forward, but that project is 4th or 5th down on his list. The 3 large baskets across the bottom
hold toys & games for the "Grands."
The Mantel & Fireplace
The grapevine cone trees were new purchases this year. I added the lights & leaves. The large mirror is also new -- a sale purchase from Kirklands.
I found these little guys at HL (on sale, of course) and thought they would be the perfect addition
to the mantel.
Sparkly pumpkins sitting on candlesticks with pretty bows make me smile!
I was even able to get some mesh ribbon before it was all gone (totally missed out last year)! I love
it combined with the wired, plaid ribbon.
I had the wheat & twigs from last year.
My "TP Pumpkin" (if you want to see how I made this, you can go HERE) is quite comfy in this
big old wooden bowl surrounded by my scavenged pinecones.
I just love looking at this scene from the kitchen as I
prepare dinner.
This corner got a very simple Fall update.
My game table got dressed up, too, but it's all on a tray for easy removal.
My inspiration for creating these cute apothecary jars came from Ashley at Shanty 2-Chic HERE. She has a great tutorial. These little cuties won't be going away for quite awhile as I plan to change out the ribbon and the contents to fit my Christmas decor. I already have the "J" & "Y" painted.....lol!
This mini baker's rack had been residing in my kitchen prior to the makeover (you can see the kitchen reveal HERE) & was moved temporarily during painting and construction. Now we've decided we like this new location on the short wall leading into our dining room. So here is where it will stay!
So that's it for now. Who knows when I might get the "urge" to tweak! Thanks so much for stopping by and please come again soon!

This is so Octoberish. It looks so grand. Hate these hotter temps. I want COOL! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love all the Fall color you brought to your living room! It looks so welcoming. We are getting cooler weather (finally) but with rain thrown in the mix. It has been a cloudy rainy weekend. Sorry it has been so hot there. Maybe it will cool down soon. Afterall, tomorrow is October!
ReplyDeleteBesides the pretty decorating, the room is so NEAT. Oh, my, that is great! Maybe that will inspire me but I have so much STUFF. Thanks for linking to my PUMPKIN PARTY> If you have anything else, too, be sure to come over and link up again. It's open until October 18th, I think. :) Your friend, Linda

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the warm temperatures- my cousin lives in AZ, and she just visited us to cool off! ;) Thanks for your note last week- yes! I live in Salem!! What a small world. Born and raised here as well. My husband and I went to school in CA for a bit, but other than that we've been here.
Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteEverything is so beautiful, Cas. But.....there is just something about that little corner that is sooo warm and cozy looking. I just love it! And oh my, triple digits again? We have had the most wonderful fall weather so far. Do you want me to come and get you?? We could have so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI love your fall decorations, especially the frisky little squirrels! I hope your temps cool down out there. We're headed to the Phoenix area in a couple of weeks to visit family and I would love to not have a "meltdown". ;-) Thanks so much for stopping by Posed Perfection for a visit and leaving me a sweet comment on my iron and burlap vignette.
