My Early Spring Mantel

Hey everyone!  Woohoo, yes it's me -- I'm back "up and running" on all multi-media and social network systems!  Wow, I've missed y'all so much and look forward to catching up.  I have lots to share, so let's get started.

I suppose now that Valentine's Day is over, all thoughts in blogland have turned to Easter and Spring.  Well, I've been dying to share my Winter mantel with y'all, but at this point-in-time, I'm calling it my early Spring mantel...lol!  It took me quite awhile to decide what I wanted to do with the mantel after all the Christmas mesh, glitter and bright colors were packed away, and this is what I came up with.  Hope you enjoy!

I'm really enjoying this more simple look.

I do have a Spring burlap pennant banner from last year that I will probably be adding.

Don't you just love this beauty?  I've been wanting to make a coffee filter wreath for a long, long time and finally collected the necessities and got 'er done!

Couldn't find white styro wreath forms until after I had already purchased the green ones, but I just covered them with a layer of filters and it worked fine.  I purchased everything for two wreaths and helped my sweet DIL get one of these babies started.  Such an inexpensive craft -- The $Store and 50%- off coupons!

I just love how the color changes depending on how the filters are clustered together.

This wreath is huge -- this mirror is not small and the wreath fills the space.

Sigh.....I love this wreath!

My $Store hurricanes (already had) sitting on an inverted Princess House candle
holder -- I used just a dot of hot glue to temporarily secure it.  Several years ago, I was the Princess House Queen for hosting parties and received so many lovely things for FREE!

If any of you shop at IKEA, you will recognize these little pots and the faux greenery.  Aren't those little ball feet cute, and you certainly cannot beat IKEA's prices.

One more look, just because I know you really wanted to see the over-all layout again.....lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I love visitors, and you are always welcome at my home.  I'll be catching up slowly but looking forward to seeing what everyone has been up to.

  15. Carol I love your huge wreath! I made one a few years back but it was not nearly as large as yours. I have the same Ikea greenery. I actually need some more but not wanting to drive the 45 minutes to get them. I wish they had an online shop. Everything looks beautiful. Thanx for joining THT!
