We seldom use our dining room, but I love that it's one of those areas in our home that always looks nice. It is just about the first thing you see when you enter our home. It is also the special place for displaying some family treasures.
The china cabinet may be dark and dated, but it's big and holds a ton of china.
I bought the Fall leaves a year or so ago and was so excited about finding the perfect
spot to display them.
I love the colors!
I often stop in this exact spot to simply enjoy how this looks.
The mate to this lantern is on the living room side.
Home to our mini-bar and lots of glassware!
Okay, that's a wrap for the dining room....at least for now! I will be sharing the living room and foyer in the near future, followed by the kitchen and family room. Hope you enjoyed!
The Welcome mat is always out for family and friends!

I'm thinking fall but haven't ventured out to the garage to open fall boxes just yet, maybe next weekend! I love the leaves on your table in the beautiful bottle, your perfect colors! Good to have you blog again, hoping to be back to more regular blogging myself! Bless you, Cindy xo
ReplyDeleteVery festive, Carol! I'm purging---just too much stuff and the thrill is gone. I have only so much space! Your dining room will be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteSending love as you get your strength back.

I love your china cabinet! The size is wonderful and what a bonus to have all that storage room. Fall is looking good at your house!

Everything looks beautiful I love the tablecloth and runner on your mini bar. Did you sew them The arrangement on your table is lovely. I have been thinking about decorating but it is still so hot here and I haven't been in the mood yet. Hopefully soon! Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Vicky
Carol it all looks lovely and I adore that pretty tablecloth. You sound like me when you said I sometimes stop to just look at the room and admire it...isn't that wonderful to find so much joy in something so simple and so accessible? Enjoy your fall view!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I for one, think your "toned down" décor is gorgeous. I love the look of white or cream pumpkins and burlap and have gotten into some of that myself. The beautiful vase of fall colored leaves really adds a festive pop to your beautiful dining room. I love fall!
ReplyDeleteCarol, I was so happy to see your post. I knew you had been busy decorating for Fall. :) Your home looks beautiful. I love, love your china cabinet all dressed up for the new season. You always do an amazing job with your seasonal decor. Take care, Maria
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Carol! I'm working on mine and hope to have it completed by the end of this weekend. I'm going to be in a Fall Home Blog Tour and ready or not, it will get done! I really love the leaves on your table!
