Hey everyone! I hope ya'll are having a great week & not suffering too much from the heat. I just keep reminding myself that I can start my Fall decorating in about three weeks, regardless of what Mother Nature may be doing with the weather! Who's with me on that? Well, whether you admit it or not, I know quite a few of you will be pulling out all the pumpkins & pretty leaves by mid-August....LOL!
Anyway, as you can see, I've done a bit of redecorating on my blog & would appreciate some feedback. I'm most interested in knowing how easy it is to maneuver around and if it's easy to read. I get very frustrated when viewing some blogs. I mean they are gorgeous, beautiful backgrounds, cute little things flying around, & text that is too light in color -- but I find them really difficult to read sometimes. Maybe it's just my "older" eyes, but I'm curious if anyone else has the same problem. The other issue is Word Verification! So many of you have discussed this "problem" on your blogs, & it seems to have helped considerably. But there are still so many who continue this needless step, & they've gotten much more difficult to read & copy correctly. Again, maybe it's "older" eyes with the problem.
Anyhoo, let me know what you think of my new Blog "tweak!"
And what's a post without at least one picture? So I thought I'd share the "face" of the new generation of DIYers! No, it's not her mom's makeup; it's the only paint color her older sister would share. I think everyone was lucky it wasn't red!
Love the new look, Cas! Your header is gorgeous. I think your blog is easy to navigate. I agree, the word verification is annoying and often difficult to read on others blogs.
ReplyDeleteYour little DIYer is too cute....look at those gorgeous eyes.
Yes, I can't wait to decorate for Fall....hurry up Autumn!
Keep cool and enjoy the rest of your summer. xo ~Liz
That picture is the BEST! and your blog is looking fantastic! I was goofing around with mine and redid the "logo." fun! =-)
ReplyDeleteHi Cas,
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable pic of your grandaughter..........so cute!
Your blog seems easy enough to navigate to me...........
Hope all is well with you and yours,
blessings, Nellie
Hi! Your blog and your paint colored baby are both perfection :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog update and that sweet baby.
ReplyDeleteSince you asked for suggestions, I would like to offer one that makes blogs hard for me to read: centered text.
Hi.....can't wait for it to cool off. I'm so tired of this heat. I have got to find a cooler spot next summer. Love the new header. Great job. See you soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Cas....I wish I was so anxious to decorate for Fall...maybe I would feel cooler!!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look of your blog! My eyes are old too, which gives me fits reading sometimes. I've had to enlarge the font that I use when typing posts so that I can see what I'm writing! I haven't clicked around yet, but it appears that it will be easy to navigate.
ReplyDeleteCas, your blog looks wonderful! I also have problems reading some of the blogs sometimes. My eyes are not what they used to be! :) I am also trying to change mine, but I am a little technology challenged, so I don't know what I will end up with! LOL Love, love the picture of your DIYer! Too precious!

The new look is great! And I can't wait to start decorating for fall too. In my opinion, it can't get here fast enough. What a sweetie you have. Blessings, Dani
ReplyDeleteThe new look is great! Word verification drives me crazy. Also when peoples emails are linked so I can just reply to them when they comment. I was in Hobby Lobby today & they have all of the fall & CHRISTMAS stuff out.
ReplyDeleteThe look of your blog is so you Cas. Simple yet elegant. I love your new blog header too. My favorite time of the year is Christmas as well.
ReplyDeleteHI Cas, your blog looks terrific! I have NO CLUE how to change things on my blog. I want to change my header and don't know HOW!!!LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog too. XO, pinky PS, I am DYING for fall!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHI Cas! Oh, I love your new look and your pretty new snap of yourself.! I know, I get so aggravated about the word verification dilly and wish folks would stop it!!
ReplyDeleteNow, I can see that the paint must have been tasted! :) Just a darling photo.
be a sweetie and I like the idea of a shelf!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I have just started reading some of your blogs and find them wonderful to read. I would love to share with you at www.sewcraftykathy.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI know it's so tempting to want to make a blog pretty with all kinds of decor and I have struggled with that, wanting to add color. When I look at professional blogs, I see a white or plain background which certainly makes it easier to read. Yours looks great. So does the beautiful little gal.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I too find some hard to follow along with. I have tried to make mine less busy too. Just darling as can be that grand of yours!
ReplyDeleteI find these hard to see too. The word verification is almost impossible to read now. I'm with you on less busy blogs. I just don't feel confident enough to move things around sometimes! I'm so computer challenged! :-) Your blog is lovely and your picture is great!
ReplyDeleteI came to thank you for your kind words and for visiting via Nana Diana, then I stated reading your blog and became a follower, thank you so much again,
ReplyDeleteThank you, Laurie. I'm very touched that during all that life is throwing at you right now, you would take the time to browse through my blog. You are so sweet. I am now following you as well.
DeleteI hope this is a good weekend for you!
~CAS~
I've enjoyed browsing your beautiful blog! Nice job! The wreath on the banner is so bright and cheery!
ReplyDeleteNope, I'm not ready for fall colors yet. Last year I did it early and was sick of it after the four months!!
Happy summer!
