Done, Done, and DONE!!!

Hey everyone!  I hope ya'll had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and have most of those "leftovers" taken care of by now!  I FINALLY finished my Christmas decorating.  I've been working on it for over a week, but didn't really feel the "push" to wrap it up until the last couple of days.  Frankly, I was just tired of the mess -- glitter and faux snow everywhere, piles of ribbon, boxes and boxes of ornaments -- whew, my guest room was a disaster.  My craft room is still suffering the aftershocks of all that was going on and the floors all need vacuuming, but that's a job for tomorrow.  Tonight I want to start sharing.  I promise not to do "photo over-load," but will share smaller bits at a time.

First up will be our sitting and dining rooms.  It feels so good to walk in the front door and see this space.  They are truly my favorite rooms in our home.  So let us begin, shall we?

I almost always have a wreath of some kind on the inside as well as the outside of our front door.

I made this wreath last year, but added different ribbon
this time around.

I never get tired of decorating this table.  Remember, it's really my old singer.
If you want to see the transformation of this piece, go HERE.

Our nativity is 43+ years old now!

The view I love.  More about the tree in another post.
Update: Check out the details of this tree HERE.

Cozy!

My favorite cozy spot.  The pillow came from Dawn at Creative Cain Cabin year.  You should check out her blog, she is such a sweetheart.

Most of my decorations are either old or repurposed, except for the tree (more on that in another post).

I almost never display things in the same place from one Christmas to the next.

The lanterns all have battery-operated, time-controlled candles.  These are the best things since sliced bread, seriously!  I have 8 of these candles in high places, and they are all set to come on at 5pm and turn off at 10pm.  I love these things!

Bowls of ornies, hurricanes filled with large pinecones -- that's Christmas to me.

Oh, I'm in peaceful, Christmas heaven in this room!

I have lots and lots more Christmas to share, so I hope you will come back.  In case you haven't heard yet, I'm having a GIVE-AWAY
and you can check it out HERE.  I hope you'll check it out.
Have a great week!
Carol

  8. I can't believe you are done on Nov 25! That's great! I have to start slow and go slow for about 2 weeks, gradually adding and tweaking, and I also change everything up every year. If I do too much right away, I get sick of it and want to put everything away! I love your lanterns and greens on your china cabinet. Congrats for being so organized, Happy Holidays!
