Hey everyone! Is it starting to feel like Fall in your area? As I walked outside this morning to get the newspaper, it was actually cool......as in 72 degrees instead of 100 here in the Arizona desert! We will still get some low 100 degree days, but I do think we are on the downhill side of summer -- YAY! Well, if you've been following my blog for awhile, then you know I started my Fall decor several weeks ago. I've shared my foyer and sitting room HERE and my dining room HERE, but don't believe for a minute that those spaces are finished. Nope......I've already made some changes I'll share in another post, because today I want to share my favorite room (excluding my craftroom, of course), the "heart of our home," the kitchen! Do you want to see? Well come on in!
In case you haven't picked up on it yet, I am still in the mode of adding turquoise, mostly in small doses, all throughout our home.
I am absolutely convinced that turquoise is a "new" neutral......seriously, have you seen any color that doesn't look good with turquoise? I think not!
The blend of all these wonderful colors just makes me smile and my heart sing!
That cute little chicken canister holds my Pumpkin Spice Coffee! If those lamps look familiar, that's because they use to be on the white buffet in my dining room.
They've had work done -- I'll share soon!
I don't have a lot of special Fall dishes, so I decided to display them all together on this large tray
for a bigger impact. The turquoise & orange runners are from IKEA.
Newly tweaked tray holding special Fall dishes & accessories.
Yep, that's my handsome son up there, just hanging out with me in the kitchen just as he did when he was three. Don't ever discourage your little ones from helping you prepare food, they just might become a chef some day!
I originally had much more "stuff" above the cabinets, but like it much better now......
less can be more, and sometimes your eyes need places to rest.
My little buddy up there is trying to say, "Have a great week everyone, and come back to
see us any old time!"

Your Fall kitchen is so pretty. Your decorations are gorgeous. Turquoise is a good color to add to any room.
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to see your decor now that I have been in your home. It all is so beautiful! Blessings to you sweet friend, Cindy
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty fall kitchen! I like your little pops of turquoise. And you're right, all kinds of colors go with turquoise. I finally got my fall decor out yesterday, but I'm still tweaking. :)
ReplyDeleteEverything in your kitchen is so Fall and pretty! I haven't done the first thing for Fall yet. Guess I'd better hurry - it'll be here in a few hours. :-) How lucky are you that your son is a chef!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

Thanks so much, Kim, for your kind comments. We are truly lucky and blessed that Michael is our son -- great person who just happens to be very talented in the cooking field!
DeleteWell, Dear Girl...you certainly have a lot of cute decorations and I can see why you love to break them out early!! I love all of your fall touches...neat vignettes that don't scream black and orange. Love it all. I need to get to work!
ReplyDeleteI know you will be getting cooler and I'm happy for you. We are having a lot of cool days but it will change...believe me. Our weather in the upper Midwest is wonky to say the least!
Jane xx
It looks so good! I do like the turquoise a lot too!
ReplyDeleteCaol, your kitchen looks amazing! Love the fall display you have created. Beautiful! I just finished decorating our guest bathroom an guess what? I also used tha color combo. :) love it!
ReplyDeleteWow! You are awesome! I love these. All the color! I'm usually all white, but this year I'm wanting to do something different. What a post of great ideas. Gotta hang around a bit and see what I can glean.
ReplyDeleteYou have one of the happiest Fall kitchens! It's full of color and whimsy that is sure to bring a smile to anyone, as well as get them in the mood for Fall! Love your cute trees all lit up above your cabinets, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at the Twirl & Take a Bow Party! Your thankful banner is so cute!

Looks so pretty Carol. Love the mix of turquoise and I think you are right, it really does look nice with all the colors!
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty!!!!!!! I love it all Cas.
ReplyDeleteCarol, what coziness! From the lamp and candlelight to the mini pumpkins and autumn associated accessories, it's all so inviting and cute! Like you, I love the combination of orange and turquoise as it reminds me of autumn skies and pumpkin dotted land!
ReplyDeleteHappy first week of Fall! Enjoy those cooler temps!

Carol Turquoise is one of my fav's also...love all your "fall'n". Thank you for visiting and commenting on my annual love(painting)affair with the front porch rockers, the sun is brutal, but I must say I'll take hot weather over cold any ole time, ain't that right!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Oh, I definitely agree about taking the heat over the cold. The reason we endure the 4 months of HEAT is because the other 8 months are usually absolute bliss!
DeleteCarol I love all your fall touches in the kitchen. I need to finish mine up now!;) Thank you for partying at THT. Hope you are having a great week.
