Hippity-Hoppity Spring is Here

Surprise, I'm still here!  To say I took a "social media break" might be a stretch, but I haven't done a blog post since early January!  I have been on FB & IG a few times but very few, and I've tried to leave a comment here and there.  While my health is definitely improving, I still find that I have to reserve my energy for the most important things.  And just let me say, blogging takes a lot of time and energy!

Kudos to all of you who put these parties together each week and still manage to personally thank all of us who join the group....you are all amazing!  I've thought long and hard about not blogging anymore...I mean, you've all seen every room in my house for every season and holiday.  I was beginning to wonder if it was just getting boring.  What I finally decided, is that I really do blog for myself...I'm a scrapbooker and memory keeper, and use my blog posts as a fun way to record what goes on around here.  That being said, I love that other bloggers visit my blog and leave such sweet comments....so, I guess if my posts get boring (or maybe they already are) to any of you, you just won't visit.  😭!!!  My conclusion as of March 8, 2017, is that I will find "contentment" (my word for the year) in blogging when I feel like it and when it brings me joy.  So now, who wants to see some Spring and Bunny-business?  🐇🐇🐇

The Man has busy with some outside projects and lots of maintenance with our "citrus grove," so I'll have to share some of that another time.  I've been busy in my craft room with projects, and I hope to share some of that as well.  Spring is definitely here in the AZ desert, and I hope it's starting to feel like Spring wherever you live.

Warm hugs to all,
Carol

I am glad to see you here, Carol, and understand the exhaustion that comes AFTER cancer....people don't realize what chemo and/or radiation takes out of you. John is still exhausted a lot of the time. When he is not working he is sleeping and that is what he needs to be doing.
I blog for a 'record' of sorts, too. So that someday my grandkids can read it (maybe) and it will stir some sweet memories in their hearts.
Blessings- I will keep you in my prayers, Carol. xo Diana

Feel free to take all the time you need, Carol. Blog friends never forget the ones they love.

Your pretty spring pieces make me smile. I have yet to bring anything out...so lazy!

Enjoy your craft room and know I'm thinking of you!

Hi Carol,

So nice to see a post from you. I never tire of seeing your pretty, seasonal displays, so keep them coming when you can. Are those IKEA lamp shades? They look like an updated version of the ones I bought a few years ago. Love their whimsical flair.

Take care and so glad you are doing well!

I was feeling much like you Carol, but I too decided just to blog when I feel like it. I do it mainly to document my life too and if people find that boring, oh well. LOL! I'm not forcing anyone to read it. I am happy to hear you are doing well. Love your spring decor...that fat bunny is the cutest!

Hugs, Vicky

Carol, everything looks fabulous. I love when I see you pop up in my feed and I am so happy that you are feeling well. Blogging does take a ton of time. I have been posting when I can...and visiting when I can...I am trying to prioritize my time and sometimes the computer doesn't make the list! ; ) Be well my friend!

Carol, how wonderful to see a new post from you. I always enjoy seeing anything new you have done and specially all your seasonal decorating. I haven't had much computer time myself, so I have been on the blog when I can, without taking away time of what is the most important. Have a wonderful weekend.

Your spring decorations are so pretty, Carol. Your blog is your own and you should feel free to blog when you feel like it about whatever you feel like! I blog for myself to have an outlet for my pics and what I have on my mind and/or heart and have even thought about having it printed in a book/s. Did you know you could do that?

You were missed Carol, but we all need a break. I love all of your spring decor.

Also, thank you so very much for your warm and heartfelt comments.

I wanted to let you know that I am nearing the end of my college experience and am currently doing a 7-week internship at a museum as a requirement for graduation. It is an interesting experience to be sure.

I must admit that I am struggling to try and manage my time and make sure my family's needs are met. Sadly, this leaves little time left for visiting my favorite people in the world and their fabulous blogs. I hope you'll have patience with me. Thankfully, this time won't last forever and I will soon, once again, be able to see all the wonderful things you are doing.

May glorious weather and lovely flowers put a spring in your step,
Laura

You have reminded me I need to get my decorations out this year. Last year I was just to tired to bring them out. We adopted a child from China and I wasn't getting much sleep. Yours look lovely!

I've been feeling the same way. I don't blog very often anymore but like you I use it as a scrapbook. I think with all the other social media that's out there now, I feel like my blog is repetitive. It's also so much easier to post a pic on FB or IG rather than write a whole blog post.

Take good care
