And So It Begins -- Ho! Ho! Ho!

Hey everyone!  I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend.  I've been working almost non-stop on my Christmas decorating and find I am still not finished -- oh my!   I'm getting close, however, and would like to share part of my kitchen today.

First up is my kitchen tree!
I had a kitchen tree last year, but this one is much more whimsical.  My kitchen theme for Christmas is "snowmen," but this tree just has lots of fun kid-related & inexpensive items.

I have a snowman collection and usually group them all together.  This year I have spread them around
the kitchen.

I have several of the wooden blocks with "kiddo" photos on them.  I made those several years ago.

I found some very small metal cookie cutters last year and thought they would be cute on a kitchen tree simply tied on with checked ribbon.  I found the snowflakes a few years ago at the Dollar Store.

The yoyos and whistles were some leftovers from The Grands' stocking stuffers last year.
I like the added whimsy!

The cute snowmen & red, swirly ribbon is from a couple of years ago -- probably from Michael's or maybe Sam's Club.  Those great big rolls last a long time!

Nope, "The Cookbook" hasn't moved!

Is this nutcracker cute or what?  I got this from Pier 1 last year.  I combined a coupon with a "Welcome
to the Area Gift Certificate," and got it free!

I love my apothecary jars, & use them almost year round in some way.

Everything looks so sparkly behind glass!

I decided to use a lot of my snowmen to decorate the tops of the cabinets.

I kept things really simple -- just the snowmen, some bamboo wreaths that I found at the Dollar Store several years ago, & some greenery.

Filled my wire cloche with colored Christmas balls.

About the only thing new that I bought this year is that fun snowman sign "Believe in Miracles," that I found at HL -- 50% off, of course.

This is my favorite snowman snow woman.  Isn't she cute?

I've tried to add to my snowmen collection each year, and most have been found at Marshall's or
Ross's.  I haven't found one yet this year.

Since Mr. Roo is all nice and red, I decided to leave him up there.

Found the small chalkboard at Michael's, painted it red, & glued a
little Santa ornament onto the side.

Well, that would be a wrap.  I'm sure glad you really can't see my floors very well.....lol!  I think there is glitter and faux snow from one end of this house to the other!

I sure hope everyone is all geared up for "Turkey Day."  Oh, and please tell me you already have your turkey defrosting in the fridge.  It just cracks me up when I see someone buying a 20lb., frozen-solid, bird on the day before Thanksgiving -- well, good luck is all I can say......lol!

In case we don't connect again before Thanksgiving, I want to wish all of you a
very Happy Thanksgiving.  Thank ya'll for stopping by and please come again soon!
