Hey everyone! I haven't been doing too much blogging recently. One reason being that we are still working on our closet DIY, but the other is more personal. I seem to be spending quite a bit of time in doctors' offices -- UGH! One of my issues has been an "out-of-whack" thyroid. I've dealt with hypothyroidism for many years, but recently it went kind of haywire and the doctor found 2 large nodules. I had 4 biopsies in each one last week and found out today that there is NO CANCER! I was pretty much doing the "happy dance" in her office! Now I just have to try to get my Synthroid dosage regulated. I'm having a couple of other procedures done early next week, but I won't bore you with the details of those. Just wish me luck!
And because all of the above is just too Ugh-ish, I thought I'd share some backyard pretties.
I did show this geranium a few weeks ago, but it has almost doubled in size!
The ugly little foot is there just to give you a size perspective -- it's HUGE! That would be the geranium that's HUGE, not the foot....lol!
I don't know what these are called, but they barely survived the last couple of months of last summer's heat and have bounced back in such a lovely way.
The herb pot is just beautiful and so fragrant!
I also shared this pot of pretties a few weeks ago, but it has more than doubled in size. This one just makes me smile.
We are really enjoying our Spring weather and the beautiful plants and flowers. Our temps are gradually increasing and we are soon to be in the 90's. Oh well, that's life in the AZ desert -- gotta take the bad with the good! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Wow.. such beautiful blooms and growth.. The desert has much more beautiful blooms than we do right now... Things are budding out and the grass is getting greener...Praise the Lord for your good report. I pray they can get thing solved with your meds soon.. meanwhile...enjoy all those beautiful flowers and herbs.. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYay! No cancer! Wishing you all the best getting everything else under control. Lovely plants...so looking forward to planting season here in Wisconsin. Praying for you! Jane
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're doing okay. I hope they can get your thyroid under control soon. Your flowers look lovely. I'm planning to plant some lobelia later this month, probably in combination with some pink geraniums in a big half-barrel I have on my back patio.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad for you Carol, that is indeed great news! Hopefully your doctor can get you back on track and everything will be more blooming daisies for you! your flowers are lovely dear!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better and will be praying for you!
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are just beautiful I can't wait to see ours around here!
Well, first off-thank the Lord that there is no cancer. My DIL's thyroid gives her all kinds of problems and she has to eat constantly to keep her weight up. If she weren't my DIL I might just hate her! lol Seriously though, it is hard to keep thyroids regulated sometimes.
ReplyDeleteYour plants are beautiful and AMAZING in size!!! Wow! I am dreaming of outdoor plants right now! xo Diana
Good luck with the medical stuff.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous. The colorful pot sets the pinks and blues off beautifully.
Hi Carol,
ReplyDeleteSo glad those nodules turned out to be nothing, I am sure you were doing a happy dance, to say the least. Will be praying that they get your meds regulated to where they need to be, and also for your
procedure next week. Drs. just make you nervous..............they just do...........so will be praying for peace and calmness for you.
Blessings hon, Nellie
All your flowers were beautiful............they are really thriving, so they must like their new habitat
and gardener........lol
The flowers are beautiful. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery to these unwanted problems.
ReplyDeleteOh, Carol, I didn't know you were dealing with all that. I am very happy to hear everything is ok and I pray they will be able to regulate your meds and you can get back to enjoy your beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteBig hug to you, my friend. xo Maria
Well, bless your heart! I'm sorry you had to go through all that, but that's great news that you got such a good report! Happy dance time, indeed! Your flowers are amazing!! I can't believe how big and beautiful they are. I think I can almost smell that herb pot from here. Yum!
ReplyDeleteThank the Lord for NO cancer! What wonderful words....I am so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteCarol, I'm sorry you have been and continue to deal with medical issues, such a ugly part of growing more 'mature'! Praising God for No Cancer !!!! I LOVE your flowers. I need to get on the ball and add a few more around my house but I get so caught up in the kiddos that I spend all my extra cash-o-la on stuff for them :) Wouldn't change that for the world!!! Enjoy this week ~ I hear it is suppose to be 95 tomorrow :( Oh well, you are right, we choose to live here, we take the heat in stride :) Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Carol,
ReplyDeleteOh how happy I am for you! Health is everything! Your pretty petals are the sweetest, daintiest darlings, and they probably make everyone who lays on them, smile!
Have a wonderful week!
Poppy
P.S.: Keep smiling!...
So glad to hear that there's no cancer! After having biopsies I know how scary it is. I have a friend thatjust recently went to the Dr. for this same problem. Now you know you're supposed to tell us about these things BEFORE so that we can pray for you!!!
ReplyDeleteGood news, you are on the road to recovery, keep your spirits up. Your pretties are my favorite, and the pot too! My flowers are not up yet, nights just got above 38 degree's, Burrr! Take care you will be fine!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are okay Carol!! I have to say how beautiful your pots are. I am still with snow drifts in my yard, but the daytime temps are making quick rivers out of them! Stay in the shade my friend!
ReplyDeleteCarol, I am happy to hear all is well with the test results. I do hope you start feeling better. The endocrine system seems so complicated and I always feel for those with Thyroid issues. Happy Easter to you and your family!
